Christian mission is not only about sharing the Gospel; it is also about demonstrating God’s love through practical acts of care and service.
The Diocesan Board of Mission (DBM) is an important part of the mission work of the CSI Coimbatore Diocese. Its work reflects the commitment to sharing the Christian message and supporting mission activities across communities.
True service begins by recognising the needs of others. It may involve supporting vulnerable families, encouraging access to education, caring for people in difficult circumstances or strengthening relationships within local communities.
Even small acts can make a difference. Listening to someone who feels alone, helping a family facing hardship or volunteering time for a community initiative can communicate compassion in a meaningful way.
When churches, volunteers and communities work together, service becomes a shared responsibility rather than the work of a few individuals.
Let us remember that our faith calls us not only to speak about love, but also to put that love into action through humility, generosity and service.
Bible Verse: “Let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.” — 1 John 3:18
Closing message: May we continue to serve our neighbours with compassion and become instruments of hope wherever help is needed.
